&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Pour chaque candidat, une liste est faite de tous les dispositifs de missions auxquels son profil lui donne droit&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Syst&#233;matiquement, le premier format choisi est celui le plus court et le plus simple de tous, qui permette de passer ensuite par un autre dispositif. &lt;p&gt;TOTAL stagiaires par Groupe Local d'OSI : 20 stagiaires simultan&#233;s en plus des 30 &#224; 50 &#233;ducateurs scientifiques actifs sur le Groupe Local &#8211; 25 personnes pr&#233;sentes &#224; la fois avec les recoupements d&#233;cal&#233;s dus aux passages de relais &#8211; plus 6 &#233;ducateurs sur la p&#233;riode hors haute saison de stages de Recherche Participative, et 20 sur la p&#233;riode de haut saison de stages de Recherche Participative.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Data collection must:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Comply with the laws of the study country and international laws.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Respect the local culture, its beliefs, and customs.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Promote, when available, methods that do not harm the integrity of the study subject (wildlife, flora, landscape...).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; The study should be conducted with minimal impact on the field and must comply with the ethical charter for observing wildlife (see environmental charter).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;h3 class=&#034;spip&#034; id=&#034;outil_sommaire_2&#034;&gt;&lt;a title=&#034;Sommaire&#034; href='https://www.osi-ngo.org/spip.php?id_auteur=68&amp;#38;page=backend#outil_sommaire' class=&#034;sommaire_ancre&#034;&gt; &lt;/a&gt;3) Data Rights and Sharing:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;All collected data are open data under Creative Commons license. By default, they will be published under a CC license (&#8220;Attribution + Non-Commercial Use + No Derivatives + Share Alike&#8221;). However, each program manager may decide to publish certain data under a more permissive CC license (allowing modifications, for example).&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Participants who contributed to the data collection must always be credited and acknowledged.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Participants, mentors, partners, or any other individuals participating in an OSI stay agree that the collected data can be used and published as open data for scientific purposes by the NGO's research programs or any other institutional research organization.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Data and knowledge sharing can be done:&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;ul class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; with student interns&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; with other entities, NGOs, researchers, etc.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; on participatory databases (e.g., observation.org for biodiversity)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;h3 class=&#034;spip&#034; id=&#034;outil_sommaire_3&#034;&gt;&lt;a title=&#034;Sommaire&#034; href='https://www.osi-ngo.org/spip.php?id_auteur=68&amp;#38;page=backend#outil_sommaire' class=&#034;sommaire_ancre&#034;&gt; &lt;/a&gt;4) Publication of Results&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The publication of results is always carried out after validation by the responsible manager of the relevant scientific program within the NGO. &lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
It can be done:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; On the websites of each of the NGO's research programs&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; In journals and/or on science outreach websites&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; On participatory platforms like PrePrint (e.g., BioRxiv.org and ResearchGate)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; In scientific journals with an impact factor&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;h3 class=&#034;spip&#034; id=&#034;outil_sommaire_4&#034;&gt;&lt;a title=&#034;Sommaire&#034; href='https://www.osi-ngo.org/spip.php?id_auteur=68&amp;#38;page=backend#outil_sommaire' class=&#034;sommaire_ancre&#034;&gt; &lt;/a&gt;5) Relationship with Public or Private Partner Laboratories&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;ol class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Without a more restrictive contract, institutional partners participating in an OSI participatory project outside their official positions retain their independence.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; The NGO commits not to file for patents (see Creative Commons license)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;h3 class=&#034;spip&#034; id=&#034;outil_sommaire_5&#034;&gt;&lt;a title=&#034;Sommaire&#034; href='https://www.osi-ngo.org/spip.php?id_auteur=68&amp;#38;page=backend#outil_sommaire' class=&#034;sommaire_ancre&#034;&gt; &lt;/a&gt;6) Management and Communication of Research Projects&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;ol class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; The NGO commits to publicly presenting all its research projects and their progress at least twice a year, during the Geneva Forum and the strategic committees of each research project.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Research programs, through their managers, commit to considering feedback from colleagues, partners, participants, and the scientific community during their evaluations and planning.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Research program managers commit to publishing their scientific reports at a minimum on their website, and possibly in scientific journals in collaboration with relevant partners, in addition to their activity reports.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; In cases involving data on sensitive species, scientific reports may not be posted online and will only be sent upon request (with a note about the availability of such reports on the website).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;h3 class=&#034;spip&#034; id=&#034;outil_sommaire_6&#034;&gt;&lt;a title=&#034;Sommaire&#034; href='https://www.osi-ngo.org/spip.php?id_auteur=68&amp;#38;page=backend#outil_sommaire' class=&#034;sommaire_ancre&#034;&gt; &lt;/a&gt;7) Research Project Ethics&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;ol class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Research projects aim to increase knowledge while respecting living and non-living entities, in line with the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) defined by the UN.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; The objectives of the projects are apolitical, secular, and non-dogmatic.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; The OSI NGO commits to verifying and respecting the ethics of research projects through internal and peer review, which occurs once a year during the strategic committees of each NGO program.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;hr class=&#034;spip&#034; /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Formatting Your Article:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We strongly &lt;strong&gt;advise against&lt;/strong&gt; drafting your article in software like Word or Open Office, as some special characters like &#8220;...&#8221; will not render correctly when pasted into the site's publication space.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Additionally, formatting done in your text editor will not be applied on the website.&lt;/strong&gt; Avoid any formatting in Word or Open Office, as this work will be lost and time wasted. Draft directly on the website and format your text online using the site's interface. This will help you understand how the tool works.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Be careful not to lose your work when saving.&lt;/strong&gt; If your internet access drops, for example, your work would be lost upon clicking &#8220;save.&#8221; We highly recommend copying and pasting your text into a separate document to keep it safe in case of a temporary browser or internet access issue. Caution is always wise, especially if it would mean losing two hours of unique inspiration.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The NGO has chosen the SPIP CMS as a collaborative work tool among many open-source options, as its use of &#8220;SPIP code&#8221; for formatting &lt;strong&gt;(see further down in this tutorial)&lt;/strong&gt; ensures consistent formatting across all pages of the sites, preventing overly varied layouts on different pages of the same site, unlike CMSs allowing HTML formatting. Therefore, you should &lt;strong&gt;NOT&lt;/strong&gt; use HTML code for formatting your articles, &lt;i&gt; &lt;strong&gt;even if you know HTML,&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/i&gt; but instead learn to use SPIP code. The same goes for mathematical formulas, which our tool also supports! You do not need to generate formula images in another software. You can insert international LaTEX code directly into your article, and a formula image will appear &lt;strong&gt;(see further down in this tutorial)&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Activity Sheets and Pedagogical Sheets together form the resource set that the &lt;strong&gt;Project Sheets&lt;/strong&gt; can list and organize logically among them. These Project Sheets are articles that simply list in an organized way the Activity Sheets and Pedagogical Sheets logically relative to one another. Sometimes comments may be added to the Project Sheet article. The Project Sheets can also be viewed as orientation maps grouping multiple articles.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Pedagogical Project&lt;/strong&gt;, in turn, brings together all the objectives and means to be implemented for a scientific education operation (as seen in Pre-Camps, for example). The Pedagogical Project is a fully drafted document prepared through a separate work process that you will learn about in another training session.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Technical Kits&lt;/strong&gt; gather all the equipment, in a compact and portable volume, needed to carry out a specific activity. They are documented by the exact list of equipment and a few Technical Sheets.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You must give the name of the author(s) and the publication date within the text.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2 authors: always cite both names.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;For 3 to 5 authors:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The first time, cite all authors.&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Example: Yost, Sheft, and Opie (1989) showed that ...&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Example: Other authors (Yost, Sheft, &amp; Opie, 1989) ...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Note that if you cite multiple authors outside parentheses, you always connect the last two with &#8220;and&#8221; (not &#8220;&amp;&#8221;). Conversely, within parentheses, you always use &#8220;&amp;&#8221; (not &#8220;and&#8221;).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then use only the first author's name followed by &#8220;et al.&#8221;&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Example: Yost et al. (1989) showed that ...&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Unless confusion is possible between two references. In that case, list as many authors as needed to clarify, followed by &#8220;et al.&#8221;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;More than 6 authors:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
From the first mention, cite only the first author followed by &#8220;et al.&#8221; unless there is a risk of confusion between two references. In that case, list as many authors as necessary to clarify, followed by &#8220;et al.&#8221;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Multiple Citations&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; Use the order of the bibliography list.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Separate different authors with a semicolon.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Separate different works by the same author with a comma.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Example: several studies (Dorrow &amp; O'Neal, 1979; Murray, 1970, 1985)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;When the author is an association&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Two possible cases:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; If there is no common and well-known abbreviation:&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Each time, cite the full name of the association as the author.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul class=&#034;spip&#034;&gt;&lt;li&gt; If there is a common abbreviation:&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
The first time, give the full name followed by the abbreviation in brackets.
